اپیدمیولوژی سرطان های گوارشی (معده، مری و کولورکتال) در شهرستان نیشابور در سال های 1390-1385

چکیده
زمینه و هدف

سرطان های گوارشی شایع ترین نوع سرطان در میان مردان و دومین سرطان شایع در زنان ایرانی محسوب می شوند. هدف از مطالعه حاضر بررسی روند تغییرات میزان بروز خام و تطبیق شده سنی سرطان های گوارشی در شهرستان نیشابور بین سال های 1390-1385 می باشد.

مواد و روش ها

در این مطالعه تحلیلی، از اطلاعات موجود در پرونده های بیماران نیشابوری مبتلا به انواع سرطان که در بیمارستان های مشهد و نیشابور پذیرش شده اند، استفاده شد. داده ها به کمک نرم افزار SPSS v.16 آنالیز و میزان بروز خام و تطبیق شده سنی محاسبه گردید.

یافته ها

از 783 مورد بیمار سرطانی، تعداد 335 نفر ( 8/ 42 درصد) مبتلا به سرطان های گوارشی بودند. بالاترین شیوع مربوط به سرطان معده ( 8/ 41 درصد) بوده و درصد ابتلای مردان و زنان به ترتیب، 3/ 63 و 7/ 36 گزارش شده بود. نتایج، حاکی از آن بود که طی این دوره میزان بروز سرطان های گوارشی روند تقریباً نزولی داشته است.

نتیجه گیری

در حدود نیمی از انواع سرطان ها در منطقه نیشابور مربوط به سرطان های گوارشی بوده و میزان بروز منتهی به سال 1390 در آنها نزولی است که این میزان در مردان و گروه های سنی بالاتر بیشتر بود. این روند کاهشی ممکن است به دلایل متعدد از قبیل، کنترل ریسک فاکتورها، عدم شناسایی بیماران مبتلا، مراجعه به مراکز درمانی خارج استان و یا افزایش مرگ ومیر بیماران و ... باشد که نیاز به بررسی های بیشتری دارد.

Epidemiology of Gastrointestinal Cancers (Stomach, Esophageal and Colorectal) in Neyshabur City during 2006-2012

Introduction and Aims

Gastrointestinal cancers (GI) are considered as the most common cancer among men and are the second in women. The aim of this study was to evaluate the changes in crude and age specific incidence rates of gastrointestinal cancers in Neyshabur during 2006-2012.

Materials and Methods

In this study the recorded data of Neyshabur’s patients with cancer in the hospitals of Mashhad and Neyshabur were analyzed using Excel and SPSS v.16. Crude and age specific incidence rates were also estimated.

Results

Three hundred and thirty-five (42.8%) out of all 783 patients with cancer, were GI cancers. Gastric cancer showed the highest prevalence (41.8%) with the rate of 63.3 and 36.7 percent in men and women respectively. The results indicated the incidence of gastric cancer had a falling tendency.

Conclusion

About half of all the cancers in Neyshabur are of the GI type and their incidence rate up to 2012 showed a decreasing trend so that, this rate is higher in men and older age groups. This decline may be due to numerous reasons such as control of risk factors, failure to identify eligible patients, referring to medical centers outside the province, or an increase in mortality and etc. that needs further investigation.
