Effect of Eight-week aerobic training combined with Green Coffee consumption on ABCG8 gene expression, serum Leptin and HDL levels of overweight women

Authors
Abstract
Introduction: Heart disease has a direct relationship with the increase of LDL-c and decrease of HDL-c, and 8ABCG has a positive effect on these two variables by preventing atherosclerosis by interfering with the reverse transmission of cholesterol. Therefore, this study aimed to compare the effect of eight weeks aerobic training with green coffee consumption on ABCG8, leptin, and HDL gene expression in overweight women.

Methodology: 30 overweight young women were randomly divided into 10 groups and eight weeks of aerobic training with a frequency of three sessions per week, the intensity of 50% of the maximum heart rate, and in the last two weeks severely increased 75% of the maximum heart rate. one hour before From a practice in a one-way blind, group “Practice and green coffee” received one 400 mg capsule and group “Placebo and green coffee” received Placebo. In order to compare the variations between groups was used one-way ANOVA (P <0.05).

Results: The results showed that the values of all three variables ABCG8, leptin, and HDL-C had significant changes (p> 0.05). The LSD post hoc test in all three variables indicates a significant change between “Practice and green coffee” with Other groups.

Conclusion: Exercise and green coffee can affect the health of people by expression of ABCG8, an increase of HDL-C, a decrease of leptin and weight. Therefore obese people can use this type of exercise and complementary green coffee to prevent cardiovascular disease and weight loss.
