Abstract
Introduction

Celiac disease has been known to be one of the health concerns with an increasing trend worldwide. This autoimmune disease is due to a reaction to gluten resulting in destroyed intestinal villi. Recent studies have shown that Lnc13 affects the pathogenicity of the disease. However, recent studies showed that this group of genes can affect the inflammation due to the disease. We aimed to evaluate the expression of Lnc13 in Iranian celiac patients.

Materials and Methods

In this case-control study, a total of 50 celiac patients and 20 healthy controls blood samples were collected during the 1396-1395 years that referred to the Research Institute for Gastroenterology and Liver Diseases, ShahidBeheshti University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran. To evaluate the relative expression of LncRNA13, the qRT-PCR method was applied.

Results

Significantly correlation between Lnc13 gene relative expression in patients with celiac disease and control group was observed (95% CI 0.5521 to 1.250, P< 0.05)

Conclusion

According to our investigation maybe an abnormal expression of Lnc13 gene in blood of celiac patients use as a biomarker for the direction Prognosis, diagnosis, and treatment of Celiac disease.
