The sample size consisted of 336 students of Azad University, selected through random sampling method and using Cochran's formula. To collect data, four standardized questionnaires were used: the ATTS Suicide Attitude Questionnaire, Teff et al‘s self-compassion, Barrett et al. impulsivity, Cohen et al.’s perceived stress.

Results: The results of the research showed a significant relationship between the components of self-compassion, impulsivity and suicidal attitude, considering the mediating role of perceived stress.

Conclusion: Based on the findings, it is recommended that families and universities work to strengthen self-compassion and control impulsiveness and stress in students, particularly those displaying symptoms of depression. It is further suggested that universities consider the necessary arrangements.
