Abstract
Introduction: Emotional intelligence and self-efficacy are recognized as two important components in academic and professional success and are influential in achieving personal skills and career goals. Considering the stressful nature of the nursing profession, the present study aimed to examine the role of emotional intelligence and self-efficacy in increasing the resilience of nursing students.

Methods: This research was a Cross-sectional study. The study population included 250 nursing students from Neyshabur University of Medical Sciences and Islamic Azad University of Neyshabur, selected through random sampling. The dependent variable was resilience and the independent variables were emotional intelligence and self-efficacy. Data collection tools included the Bar-On Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire, Schwarzer and Jerusalem’s General Self-Efficacy Scale, and the Connor-Davidson Resilience Questionnaire. The Pearson correlation method was used to examine correlation between variables and linear regression was used to examine the relationship between independent and dependent variables in SPSS V 21.

Results: The correlation data showed a relationship between emotional intelligence (r = 0.65) and self-efficacy (r = 0.70) with students’ resilience (p < 0.01). Also, the regression model showed that the combination of two components of self-efficacy and emotional intelligence could explain up to 36% of the variance of resilience (R2= 0.36).

Conclusion: The findings of this study emphasize the importance of developing emotional intelligence and self-efficacy skills in nursing students’ educational programs as crucial components influencing their resilience.
